VISITING PLACES from Swarapadi

Kecak Dance

There is a temple within 5 minute walk from Swarapadi that hosts fire dance every monday night. About 80 men perform musical chanting only with their voice. This is the true authentic Balinese dance.

Monkey forest

The famous monkey forest of Ubud. Distance from Swarapadi 10 minutes. Please be aware not to wear any jewelery or sunglasses as they often naughty and take away your belongings.


Tegalalang rice field has been voted many times by travel magazines as some of the world's best sceneries. Distance from Swarapadi +/- 20 minutes by car. Along the road there are many handycrafts store.


Mount Batur is an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas north west of Mount Agung. This is a good area for bicycle downhill, and can easily be reached from Swarapadi by car in 30 minutes.
